Knots are a weak point in boards and a huge problem with bolted mats structural integrity. The knots in boards used to make bolted mats have multiple weak points resulting in cracking and breaking. However, with TerraLam®CLT, knots are neutered by adhesive bonding 100% of the board surface to another board. There are no longer any weak points, therefore the knot size is irrelevant with TerraLam® CLT access mats. This design leads to a more durable and weight resistance option than traditional matting options, as well as a longer life cycle for each mat.
