Engineered to be up to 40% lighter than standard bolted mats, TerraLam mats utilize cross-laminated timber (CLT) technology to guarantee the strongest access mat on the market with unmatched strength and safety. Cross Laminated Timber mats are created by bonding alternating perpendicular layers of wood with a special adhesive to create the finished mat instead of relying on the traditional bolted structure. TerraLam CLT access mats allow for the even distribution of weight throughout the entire mat, making them significantly less prone to breakages and able to handle heavy loads.

Significantly lighter than bolted mats, the 8’ x 14’ or 8’x16’ 300 mat can save up to 50% on freight costs, allowing you to transport 72 mats per truckload compared to only 35 bolted mats of the same size. Manufactured from southern yellow pine, each TerraLam® mat features bevelled edges for easy handling, and can be manufactured with or without 1” oak fingers.
