What Is CLT?

Unlike traditional bolted mats, Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) mats are built using a strong and environmentally safe adhesive that bonds layers of wood together at right angles to create a strong and resilient solid wood panel. Each CLT panel is constructed using at least 3 layers of lumber boards laid perpendicular and bonded together using a structural adhesive to form a solid and rectangular wood panel. They are often used for temporary access roads, right of ways, work pads, staging areas and construction projects that require strong, lightweight and cost-effective matting solutions.

8′ wide x 14′ or 16′ long

    • Used as temporary access roads, general ground protection and temporary staging yards.

5-ply SiteSafe™ CLT Access Mats

4′ or 8′ wide x 14′, 16′ or 18′ long

    • Used to support heavy equipment, heavy-duty ground cover and temporary foundations. Also used as an alternative to traditional crane mats or steel-framed rig mats

7-Ply SiteSafe™ CLT Access Mats

8′ wide x 14′ or 16′ long

    • Used as an alternative to crane mats or steel-framed rig mats as they are designed to handle exceptionally heavy equipment such as rigs and cranes.
