Sterling Solutions’ range of TerraLam® products utilize Cross Laminated Timber, which is significantly lighter weight compared to traditional models. Designed to flex under pressure, CLT mats offer superior durability and performance compared to bolted mats, saving you time and money with each project.
Crafted by bonding alternating perpendicular layers of wood with an environmentally safe adhesive, CLT mats disperse weight throughout the entire unit as opposed to just the bolting points, which allows for incredible performance under pressure and a life cycle that is 3-5 times the length of traditional timber matting. TerraLam® 300 Mats
Built from high-quality Southern Yellow Pine wood fibres, the 300 series is up to 40% lighter than timber and bolted mats which allows for greater load capacity when transporting. In addition to a longer lifespan and high impact resistance, features of these mats include:
- 3-ply cross-laminated timber
- Construction all layers
- Southern yellow pine
- Beveled edges
- Can be manufactured with or without 1″ oak fingers
- Weight: – 1,350 lbs.
TerraLam® 500 Mats
Still as lightweight as the 300 series, 500 series mats are geared toward heavier applications with extreme loads, machinery and crane uses, and more. Features include:
- 5-ply cross-laminated timber construction
- All layers of Southern Yellow Pine
- Beveled edges weight: – 2,667 lb
